What is OpenX?

OpenX is an experimental social network where you can connect a wallet, publish posts and threads, and earn OPX rewards for eligible activity. Current OPX rewards are Solana-only. This guide explains how OpenX's post-to-earn program works, how rewards are tracked, and how to start posting safely.

How OpenX works

OpenX provides a public feed where users share ideas, threads, and updates through wallet-connected profiles. After connecting a wallet and claiming a username, you can publish content and interact with the OpenX community.

Posting directly to the OpenX feed is the activity considered by the reward program. There is no separate task system.

Experimental status and wallet safety

OpenX is currently in an experimental phase. Features, reward rules, and wallet interactions may change as the platform develops.

For additional safety, we recommend connecting a new or otherwise empty wallet that does not hold valuable assets. You can use this dedicated wallet for OpenX and receiving OPX rewards. Review every wallet request before approving it and only continue when you understand the requested action.

Using a dedicated wallet can limit your exposure while trying the platform, but it does not eliminate all risk.

How post-to-earn works

Eligible posts can accrue OPX after they are published. Reward eligibility, caps, and settlement timing are determined by the active post-to-earn rules and may change as the program develops.

Your profile displays your OPX earned total so you can track rewards that have accrued under the active program.

Current eligibility rules

Under the current post-to-earn rules, eligible activity works as follows:

  • 20 OPX per eligible post
  • Up to 5 eligible posts per user, per day
  • Subject to a 10,000 OPX global daily budget
  • Current rewards are Solana-only; use Phantom on desktop (not mobile browsers)
  • A verified Solana wallet is required to receive payouts

These rules can change as the network grows over time, including eligibility, caps, amounts, and settlement timing.

OPX rewards

You can connect a wallet and start posting without paying an entry fee. Eligible activity may receive OPX according to the current reward rules.

OPX rewards are not guaranteed for every post. Amounts and caps follow the current published rules above. Use the OPX earned total on your profile to confirm what you have accrued.

Current rewards are supported on Solana only. Use Phantom in a desktop browser for rewards to behave properly. Rewards are not compatible with mobile browsers.

Frequently asked questions

Is OpenX still experimental?
Yes. OpenX is currently in an experimental phase, so features, reward rules, and wallet interactions may change as the platform develops.
Why should I use a separate wallet?
A new or otherwise empty wallet helps limit exposure while using an experimental platform. We recommend using a dedicated wallet that does not hold valuable assets for OpenX and receiving OPX rewards.
Does it cost anything to post on OpenX?
No. There is no paid entry fee to connect a wallet and start posting.
Does every post earn OPX?
No. OPX rewards are not guaranteed for every post. Current eligibility and caps are listed under Current eligibility rules and may change as the network grows.
Where can I see my OPX rewards?
Your profile displays your OPX earned total, including rewards that have accrued under the active program.
Are OPX rewards available on every network and device?
No. Current rewards are supported on Solana only. Use Phantom in a desktop browser for rewards to behave properly—they are not compatible with mobile browsers.
Can the post-to-earn rules change?
Yes. Eligibility requirements, caps, amounts, and settlement timing may change as the network grows over time. Check this page for the current rules and your profile for your latest OPX earned total.
